President of East Port Said National University
Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din
President of East Port Said National University
Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din is one of Egypt’s prominent academic leaders in engineering and higher education. He has extensive scientific and administrative experience in higher education institutions and has played an active role in developing teaching and research processes and enhancing the quality of university education.
He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Power Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering from Menoufia University, and a PhD in Engineering from Leningrad University in the former Soviet Union. He has also made distinguished scientific contributions, publishing nearly forty research papers in his fields of specialization.

University President’s Message
Since the beginning of the era of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2014, which marked the declaration of the New Republic, a development strategy for university education has been established in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030. This strategy aimed to establish a number of non-profit national universities across Egypt, keeping pace with population growth and meeting students’ aspirations to acquire the specialized skills required by the labor market.
Among the universities established is East Port Said National University, built on a cherished part of Egypt’s land, our beloved Sinai, to become, by God’s will, a driver of development in East Port Said.
The university administration seeks to equip students with the knowledge and skills required in their respective specializations through a range of distinguished academic programs that meet labor market needs, while giving due attention to scientific research and community development.
Through its diverse activities, the university works to discover students’ talents, refine their skills, and develop their abilities as part of its commitment to creating a bright future for our beloved Egypt. May God grant us success in serving our precious homeland.
Institutional Direction
Vision and Mission
Field and digital surveying, geographic information systems, remote sensing, maps, spatial databases, artificial intelligence applications, and geospatial data management and analysis.
Supporting modern university education that keeps pace with Egypt Vision 2030 and connects knowledge and specialized skills with labor market needs and development in East Port Said.
The program focuses on developing English language skills, written and interpreting translation, and intercultural communication.
Providing distinguished academic programs, enhancing scientific research and community service, and discovering and refining students’ talents to contribute to building a better future.
