The university study system is the credit hours system, and the academic year consists of two main semesters (Spring and Fall), each lasting 15 weeks except for the exam period. A summer term of eight academic weeks may be added.
Faculties regulations determine the study plans, elective and mandatory courses at the faculty and specialization levels, as well as the scientific content of the courses.
The student is awarded a bachelor's degree upon successfully completing the graduation requirements, following the proposal of the departmental councils, the recommendation of the faculty councils, and the approval of the university council for awarding it, in accordance with the conditions set by the university council and the regulations established by the Ministry of Higher Education.
