
nder the patronage of Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din, President of the University,
and under the supervision of Dr. Salma Khairallah – Director of the Medical Laboratory Program at the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences,
and within the framework of East Port Said National University’s commitment to enhancing the practical and applied aspects for students in the healthcare sector, the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences organized a scientific visit for students of the Medical Laboratory Program to Ahl Misr Burn Hospital, one of the leading specialized medical institutions for burn treatment in Egypt.
The visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity to learn about the latest therapeutic methods and medical technologies used in burn patient care, in addition to gaining insight into the hospital’s operational system and understanding the role of various medical teams in delivering integrated healthcare services to patients.
The visit also included practical training sessions inside the hospital’s medical laboratories, where students were introduced to the latest medical analysis devices and the mechanisms of operating them. This contributed to enhancing their practical skills and linking academic study with real-world practice under the supervision of a distinguished group of specialists.
Furthermore, the visit included a field tour through several hospital departments, during which students received a detailed explanation from the medical team regarding the mechanisms for handling critical cases, infection control procedures, and the importance of psychological support throughout the treatment and rehabilitation journey of patients.
Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din – President of the University – affirmed that East Port Said National University continuously strives to provide an advanced educational environment that combines academic learning with practical training, contributing to the preparation of qualified healthcare professionals equipped with both knowledge and practical expertise capable of keeping pace with modern developments in the medical field and serving the community with efficiency and excellence.
This visit comes as part of the university’s plan to support field training and strengthen partnerships with specialized medical institutions, thereby opening broader horizons for students to learn and gain practical experience.
