Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din, University President, participated in
the Third Water Day 2024 conference, organized by Port Said University in cooperation with Badr University,
under the theme: "University-Industry Integration for Innovation in Water Technology".
The event was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University, and Prof. Dr. Ashraf El-Shihy, former Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and President of Badr University.
The conference was chaired by Prof. Dr. Rawia Rizk, Vice President of Port Said University for Graduate Studies and Research,
with Dr. Eng. Kamal El-Nahhas, Head of the Works Department in Port Said, Suez Canal Authority, serving as conference secretary.
The event was attended by university vice presidents, faculty deans, professors, researchers, and students from the faculties of engineering and science.
The conference emphasized the importance of university-industry integration.
It brought together several water technology companies, which pledged to train students from the faculties of engineering and science in departments concerned with water desalination, water resources, and green hydrogen.
