On the sidelines of the day organized by our university to commemorate the October Victories, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Atef Alam El-Din, the first Board of Trustees meeting was held at the university campus in East Port Said.
The meeting was chaired by Eng. Ibrahim Mahlab, former Prime Minister of Egypt and Chairman of the Board of Trustees,
with the membership of:
- Prof. Dr. Mohamed Hassan El-Kenawy, former President of Mansoura University and Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees,
- Major General Staff Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said,
- Major General Staff Ahmed Abdullah, former Governor of Port Said,
- Prof. Dr. Sherif Saleh, President of Port Said University,
- Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Hussein Hegazy, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Port Said University,
- Prof. Dr. Nabil Ahmed Helmy, former Dean of the Faculty of Law, Zagazig University,
- Prof. Dr. Mamdouh Radwan El-Nahhas, Emeritus Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Port Said University,
- Dr. Eng. Lotfy Hassan El-Badrawy, Board Member of Kapci Coatings,
- Dr. Hassan Hassanein Hassan, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of International Drug Agency for Pharmaceutical Industries,
- Mr. Mohamed El-Sayed Ali, Chairman of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Port Said,
and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Rasha Anany, General Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector. During its session, the board discussed the university's internal regulations, as one of the fourth-generation universities concerned with excellence in education and scientific research. Several important matters related to the educational process at the university were also discussed, most notably accelerating the establishment of a university residence complex to serve its students.
